Bigger, better breakfasts

This study had clearly got wind of the saying “eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a pauper.” What’s more it showed that the individuals who went along with that old wisdom enjoyed significant health benefits in the form of weight loss that was more than twice that of the small breakfast/large dinner group. In addition, the kingly breakfasters had lower cholesterol levels and improved blood lipid profiles. The members of the big breakfasting group were also much more likely to stick with the overall dietary recommendations and to complete the full term of the study. And their dinner contained just a mere 200 calories!

Food for thought ... and for breakfast! Want great recipes for a whole bunch of kingly breakfasts? They’re suited to the whole family, whether you’re planning a baby or encouraging your kids in healthy eating habits and involvement in the kitchen.
